The remaining fragments of the lower part of the banner, four streamers each approximately 5.8-6.5cm wide, were cut from a single piece of blue damask fabric. The woven pattern features six-petaled flowers surrounded by entwined vines, with a warp repeat of 4.5cm and a weft repeat of 13.5cm. Large medallions decorated with side-view floral motifs are painted in silver on the streamers. Such patterns are commonly seen in Tang Dynasty Dunhuang textiles, such as the mattress patterns in Cave 9 and Cave 401. The upper and lower ends of the streamers remain connected, with the lower end attached to a trapezoidal wooden weight board featuring floral decorations on both sides. The edges of the streamers are neatly rolled with blue silk threads. One streamer has a damaged section repaired with a piece of dark blue twill damask. A fragment of undyed damask with a plain weave and diamond pattern remains at the top, painted with ink and patched with a rectangular piece of dark blue plain weave. Weaving structures: 1. Painted diamond-patterned damask banner body: Warp - silk, unspun, single thread, natural color, 52 threads/cm; Weft - silk, unspun, single thread, natural color, 32 threads/cm; Structure - 1/1 plain weave ground with 4-2 combined silk organization forming 1/5Z irregular twill for the pattern. 4. Dark blue patch: Warp - silk, unspun, single thread, dark blue, 48 threads/cm; Weft - silk, unspun, single thread, dark blue, 28 threads/cm; Structure - 5/1Z twill for the pattern on a 1/2Z twill ground.
