收藏着录： 石渠宝笈初编（养心殿），上册，页485-488 收藏着录： 故宫书画录（卷八），第四册，页28 内容简介（中文）： 项穆（约西元一五五○－一六○○年前后），字德纯，号贞元，亦号无称子，为项元汴长子。善书法，着有《书法雅言》，是明代晚期重要的书法论着。项穆生于博古赏鉴之家，交游往来多文雅之辈，耳濡目染，诗文皆擅，其书法取法晋唐诸家，以王羲之为尊，每日摹写〈兰亭序〉及〈圣教序〉。此件扇面，项穆以行书写五言律诗，秀雅有致，足见其书法乃承袭晋唐古典书风。 内容简介（英文）： Xiang Mu (style name Dechun; sobriquets Zhen-yuan, Wuchengzi), the eldest son of Xiang Yuanbian, was a native of Jiaxing, Zhejiang. He excelled at calligraphy and authored Elegant Sayings on Calligraphy (Shufa yayan). An important late Ming calligraphy theorist, Xiang Mu was born into a family with a great collection of art, so he often associated with scholars. Steeped in this atmosphere, he excelled in poetry and prose. In calligraphy, he took the methods of Jin and Tang masters. Revering the style of Wang Xizhi, he daily copied Wang’s “Orchid Pavilion Preface” and the “Sacred Teaching Preface” characters. The style of this verse on a folding fan is quite refined, sufficiently revealing how Xiang’s calligraphy follows the tradition of Jin and Tang styles.
