The central figure sits on a chair as two others roast stuffed buns on a fire in a garden. A kitten waits and looks up to one side, hoping for a bite, as a small child plays in the lower right. The title and content of the painting reflects a play on words for "children" and "togetherness," reflecting the auspicious theme of harmony in the household. It also suggests the warmth of a fire in the cold as it fosters an atmosphere of togetherness. Pomelo, narcissus, camellia and daisies surround the figures and also decorate the scene.
