收藏着录： 石渠宝笈续编（养心殿），第三册，页1237 收藏着录： 故宫书画录（卷八），第四册，页112 收藏着录： 故宫书画图录，第十二册，页191-192 内容简介（中文）： 钱维城（西元一七二○至一七七二）江苏武进人。字宗盘，号茶山，晚号稼轩。乾隆乙丑（西元一七四五）状元。官至工部侍郎。初从陈书学花卉，后改习山水。 本幅画岁寒植物松、梅、山茶，并绘如意、百合、柿取其谐音「百事如意」吉祥之意。宗盘自题「恭仿董祥笔意」。清人作画好讬古以自重，常借古人之名而自运其笔墨。按：祥为北宋翰林待诏，工草虫、花卉。 内容简介（英文）： Ch’ien Wei-ch’eng was a native of Wu-chin in Kiangsu. In 1745, he was the top candidate in the civil service examinations, and subsequently served as Vice-President of the Board of Works. He began as a painter studying flowers with Ch’en Shu, but later changed to landscape. The painting depicts wintry plants such as pine, plum, camellia, lily and persimmon which may be taken as a pun on the idea of “happiness in all things.” The artist’s inscription says that the painting is modelled after Tung Hsiang, a Painter-in-Attendance of the Northern Sung who did such subjects as grasses, insects and flowers. It was a common practice for painters of the Ch’ing to cite such ancient models as the pretext for their own inventions.
