收藏着录： 故宫书画录（卷八），第四册，页139 收藏着录： 故宫书画图录，第二十二册，页80-85 内容简介（中文）： 钱选（西元一二三五—一三0三年尚在），浙江吴兴人。字舜举，号清癯老人。工诗善书画，元初吴兴八俊之一。为人豁达有气度，宋亡不仕，流连诗画以终其身。山水师赵令穰、人物师李公麟、花鸟师赵昌、青绿山水师赵伯驹。又善折枝花，尤精临摹古蹟。 本册十二开，款署至治辛酉（一三二一）仿宋十二家笔，实际上全册风格统一，并不见有宋人笔意，而赋色鲜丽，笔法细弱，画风已入清际，无钱选朴质雅趣。另对幅董其昌之题亦伪制。 内容简介（英文）： Ch'ien Hsüan (style name Shun-chü and sobriquet Ch'ing-ch'ü lao-jen) was a native of Wu-hsing, Chekiang. An able poet, he was also gifted at painting and calligraphy and became known as one of the Eight Talents of Wu-hsing in the early Yüan. Known as a scholar of integrity, he withdrew after the fall of the Sung, making a living from his poetry and painting. In landscapes, he followed the style of Chao Ling-jang and that of Li Kung-lin for his figures. For his birds-and-flowers, he followed the style of Chao Ch'ang and that of Chao Po-chü for his blue-and-green landscapes. He excelled at depicting "broken-branch" flowers and imitating ancient styles. The album of 12 leaves from which this work is taken dates to 1321 and is composed of styles in imitation of 12 Sung artists. However, the leaves appear to have come from the same hand and do not manifest Sung styles. Rather, judging from the lavish colors and refined brushwork, the leaf here appears to date from the Ch'ing (1644-1911) and is unrelated to the archaic elegance of Ch'ien's style. The accompanying leaf of calligraphy with Tung Ch'i-ch'ang's signature is also spurious.
